Some IT-sourced advice has restored services, so fortunately I didn't need to resort to this.

But the iPod has backed up 3,500+ 'blanks' to the external hard-drive, from which I now need to restore normality, so it means scanning through 7,000+ lines to locate and delete the duffers, then copy the live 'uns across.

Still, it keeps me off the streets..
