Radio Silence

Today's lyric:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Something in the moonlight catches my eye, The shadow of a lover goes dancing by
Looking for a little bit o' love to grow, So give me love, give me heart and soul
You never let me cross to the other side now, I'm tied to the hope that you will somehow
Hard on the heels of something more, But I lost your love, heart and soul."

T'Pau: "Heart and Soul"
From the album: "Bridge of Spies"

the odd good oldie

With archetypical electronic timing, the iPod has blown up, just days after the warranty expired (it was last year's birthday present). "Shuffle" caused a manic scrolling of the album covers artwork, the drive frantically searching for no-longer-existent tracks and lyrics.

For a bowel-churning few moments, I thought that the corrupted library had also obliterated the back-up copy on the external hard-drive, as the brand-new works pc failed to recognise the device at all, but - phew - they are there still.

But having wiped the iPod completely by restoring factory settings, it still failed to accept a transfer from library to drive, so it's looking pretty terminal.

Anyone had a similar experience?
