Although the weather was crap yesterday, I was determined to get out and stretch the distance I'm walking. And despite the drenching drizzle and gusting winds, managed just shy of 9 miles in two and a half hours.

Interestingly, I feel less knackered the day after, even though I'm covering a bigger distance each time?

The official training instructions (which as an inveterate desk jockey, I'm following) advise us not to do any serious walking in the two weeks before the Moonwalk itself and to train up to a mile short of the full distance. So we've got 45 days to increase the sessions to 12 miles, or half a mile a week in old money.
